Sometimes, hitting the gym can be intimidating with all of the machines and weights, so some folks get a personal trainer right away to keep them motivated.
Jessica McGill, a personal trainer, said, ?If it?s something that they don?t like, they?ll be like ?oh I?ll do two reps and go on and do something else?, but a personal trainer is there to push you and motivate you and learning new exercises and different ways to do things. It?s not always the same thing every time.?
Keith Hare is a trainer as well, and claimed the best thing a person can do to get their body toned and tight is to listen to their instructor.
Hare said most of the time men and women come into the gym for different reasons.
Men want muscle and women yearn for a leaner body, and because of that the exercises have to be tailored.
When it comes to diet, the right food makes all the difference.
McGill explained, ?Before you exercise you always need to eat a little protein and a little bit of carbs and after you work out eat carbs and just a little bit of sugar to just because your metabolism is going and you need that sugar to spike it up, and always eat protein.???
Hare said protein bars are great, but not as good as a homemade shake with whey protein.
If you want to create a home gym, bands, dumbbells, and stabilizing balls are great for those in between gym visits.
