Who: Phatlynx is Raleigh-Durham?s favorite pork obsessed Surfabilly band.? It was conceived as a one-off show/group to get as many people into The Cave to play North Carolina native Link Wray?s song ?Rumble? but folks had such a good time they kept playing as a group and writing more songs.? Phatlynx features Crispy Bess (Killer Filler, Southern Culture on the Skids), Robby Poore (The Drags, Wash Don?t Rinse), Groves Willer (Evil Weiner, Family Dollar Pharoahs) and Colonel Dave Perry (Twilighter, Dirty Little Heaters). Why: The Friday Night Music Series runs from May through the end of August from 7 pm to 9 pm every Friday night.? Although tickets aren?t required, we pass the hat and encourage a $5 to $7 donation to compensate the performers. Barney?s Hotdogs and Carrie?s Veggie Delights (burritos) are on site to provide cool drinks and tasty treats.? Shows go on rain or shine now that we also have a new indoor stage!
